The Wandering Maker

Exile's Honor

The Barbarian Prince

Years ago, a barbarian prince walked away from his throne. His people called it cowardice. The truth was the opposite: he left because staying would have meant war, and war would have meant the deaths of thousands he swore to protect. His exile was the price of peace.

Now he travels the southern roads with a bard, a cleric, and a wizard — a party who knows him only as a quiet warrior with northern scars and a habit of watching the horizon. Then a rider comes. Home is burning. The peace he bought with his crown didn't hold.

Four acts of adventure, sacrifice, and the hard truth about what leadership actually demands. Sometimes to serve, you walk alone. This is the story of a man who learned that twice.

Adventure Calls
Pack your gear, the road awaits Four unlikely friends and fate The wizard with his book of lore The cleric seeking something more The bard with silver-stringed guitar While I just wonder who we are When the morning breaks anew Adventure's calling me and you Different paths brought us together Different hearts in any weather When the world gets dark and strange That's when everything will change Adventure calls across the land Adventure calls, we make our stand Magic, music, faith, and steel Four as one, let's make this real Adventure calls through wind and rain Adventure calls through joy and pain Hit the road and make your choice Let the world hear freedom's voice! Tavern keeper eyes our crew "Trouble's got its eye on you" But the bard just pays for ale While the wizard reads some tale The cleric helps a beggar's pain I keep silent once again These southern folk, they'll never know The weight of secrets that I stow Trust is something earned in time Through the rhythm and the rhyme When the past comes back to play That's the price we'll have to pay Adventure calls across the land Adventure calls, we make our stand Magic, music, faith, and steel Four as one, let's make this real Adventure calls through wind and rain Adventure calls through joy and pain Hit the road and make your choice Let the world hear freedom's voice! (Building with intensity) Weeks of travel, bonds grow strong Fighting battles, righting wrong But whispers carry on the breeze Of northern wars across the seas The wizard senses something's changed The cleric feels the world's estranged The bard hears rumors in the night While I prepare myself to fight What's coming next, I think I know The past won't let a person go Morning breaks, we're on the trail Sharing every hopeful tale But something's stirring in my chest More than just another quest The wizard maps our journey's course The cleric draws on holy source The bard sings songs of heroes bold But my story's still untold Adventure calls, but change is near Adventure calls through hope and fear Magic, music, faith, and steel Four as one, about to reel Adventure calls, the past returns Adventure calls, and my heart burns For the choices I once made Now the price will have to be paid! Thunder rolling, horses race Truth is written on that face Word from the north, the die is cast The peaceful days are fading fast Adventure calls with different voice Sometimes we don't get to choose our choice... ---
Track 2
Four as One
Four roads led us to this place Four hearts beating at the same pace The wizard's got his fire spells The cleric's got the tales she tells Of divine power, healing light That keeps us strong throughout the fight And I bring fury, steel, and rage But we're all players on this stage Different stories, same campaign Different powers, shared pain When the darkness closes in That's when real bonds begin Four as one, we face the dawn Four as one, when hope is gone Magic, music, faith, and steel Four as one, we make it real Four as one through thick and thin Four as one, we're bound to win Every road has led us here Four as one, we have no fear! The bard can lift us with her song Inspire courage when things go wrong Her silver words cut deeper than any blade She builds us up when we're afraid The cleric's armor shining bright Divine protection in the night Her healing hands, her steadfast heart She's been with us from the start Different weapons, same fight Different skills, shared light When the world tries to divide We stand together, side by side Four as one, we face the dawn Four as one, when hope is gone Magic, music, faith, and steel Four as one, we make it real Four as one through thick and thin Four as one, we're bound to win Every road has led us here Four as one, we have no fear! (Building intensity) Through the taverns and the towns Fighting demons, earning crowns Every battle makes us stronger Every mile we walk together The wizard sees what others miss The cleric brings us sacred bliss The bard reminds us who we are While I protect them near and far But something's coming from the past A test that's built to make us last Four as one, we'll meet our fate Together, nothing is too late! Campfire stories, midnight talks Sharing burdens as we walk They think they know their warrior friend But some secrets never end Still they trust me with their lives Through whatever darkness drives Us forward on this winding road Four as one, we share the load Four as one, we face the dawn Four as one, when hope is gone Magic, music, faith, and steel Four as one, we make it real Four as one, now tried and true Four as one, we'll see it through Every challenge makes us grow Four as one, that's all we know! All we know! Here we go! Thunder rolling, horses race Destiny won't change its pace Word from the north will test our bond Four as one, we'll face what's beyond Whatever comes, we'll stand as one Four as one until we're done... ---
Track 3
Scars and Secrets
Gather 'round the dying light, four shadows by the flame The wizard shows his battle scars, each one has got a name "Dragon's breath," he grins and says, "failed my saving throw that day But sometimes you learn the most when magic fades away" The cleric rolls her sleeves up high, divine marks on her skin "These came from breaking temple law, but saved my kith and kin" Every scar's a story told Every mark's worth more than gold When you trust enough to share All the burdens that you bear Scars and secrets by the fire Scars and secrets lifting us higher Some we earned in battle's rage Some just come with growing age Scars and secrets, truth revealed Scars and secrets help us heal In the circle of the flame We'll never be the same The bard reveals her twisted hand, "Critical miss," she says with pride "But I saved a child from burning death, worth the pain I hide" They turn to me with waiting eyes, wanting my tale too I touch the mark across my chest, but what am I to do? Some stories cut too deep to tell, some truths too hard to bear I'll keep this secret to myself, at least for now I dare Trust is something earned in time Through the battles and the rhyme When you're ready to confess Sometimes silence serves you best Scars and secrets by the fire Scars and secrets lifting us higher Some we earned in battle's rage Some just come with growing age Scars and secrets, truth revealed Scars and secrets help us heal In the circle of the flame We'll never be the same "This one's different," I confess, voice growing soft and low "Not from combat or from quest, it's something you should know It's a marking of my birth, meant to show what I was worth But worth's not always clear when you've got so much to fear" The wizard nods with knowing eyes The cleric sees through my disguise The bard just smiles and starts to play A gentle tune that seems to say: "Every story's just begun, every battle's never done" The embers fade to morning gray, another night passed by But trust was built around this fire, beneath the starry sky They know there's more I haven't said, more weight upon my chest But friendship doesn't ask for more than what you're ready to confess The ritual mark still hidden there, a birthright cast away The truth will have to wait until another kind of day Scars and secrets by the fire Scars and secrets built desire For the bonds that make us strong For the place where we belong Scars and secrets, some still hidden Scars and secrets, some forbidden But the trust we've found tonight Will guide us toward the light Guide us toward the light The horses thunder, dawn breaks clear A messenger brings what we most fear The scars and secrets that we've shared Have made us ready, made us prepared For whatever's coming fast The peaceful days are fading past What's coming next will test us all But together we won't fall... ---
Track 4
Word from the North
Dawn breaks cold across our camp Thunder rolling, horses stamp A rider comes with urgent news His face shows what we're bound to lose The wizard wakes at battle's sound The cleric kneels upon the ground The bard stops singing her sweet song To hear what's been going wrong Storm clouds gathering in the north Ancient hatred breaking forth The peace we've known is at an end When old blood feuds refuse to mend Word from the north, the ravens cry! Word from the north beneath a blood-red sky! The clans are stirring, war drums beat The time for running is complete Word from the north calls me home Word from the north, no more can I roam The past I fled has found my trail This time there's nowhere left to sail! The messenger speaks through gasping breath "Your people march toward their death An elder rises, claims the throne Says you've been hiding far too long" He speaks of raids on border towns Of burning farms and bloody crowns "He tells them you're a coward's tale That honor means you never fail" The fire that I tried to quell Now burns like the depths of hell My leaving didn't bring them peace It only made the hatred increase Word from the north, the ravens cry! Word from the north beneath a blood-red sky! The clans are stirring, war drums beat The time for hiding is complete Word from the north calls me home Word from the north, no more can I roam The past I fled has found my trail This time there's nowhere left to sail! My companions see the truth at last Written plainly in my past The wizard asks, "Who are you really?" The cleric watches, speaking clearly: "The weight you carry, now we see This isn't just our destiny" The bard speaks soft, "A prince in exile?" The messenger nods, "Been gone a while But now your people need you back To lead them through this dire lack" I close my eyes and feel the pull Of duty's cup, bitter and full The choice I made to walk away Has led us to this very day "There's more," the rider's voice grows grim "The southern lords grow tired of him They mass their armies at the border Chaos spreads without your order Two wars brewing, east and west Your return might serve us best Or watch it all burn to the ground While you're nowhere to be found" Word from the north, the ravens cry! Word from the north beneath a blood-red sky! The clans are stirring, war drums beat My time of running is complete Word from the north calls me home Word from the north, no more can I roam The crown I cast away still waits Behind those cold and iron gates The road turns north! The road turns north! The fire dies, we break our camp My heart beats like a war drum's stamp Three faces watch with new respect For secrets they could not detect But they stand with me despite the lies Beneath this blood-red northern sky The road turns north, adventure's changed Nothing ever stays arranged The truth is out... The die is cast... ---
Track 5
Reluctant Road
Every step toward the northern hills Feels like walking toward my grave Every mile my heart grows still Wondering if I'm fool or brave The wizard tries to understand The cleric offers silent prayer The bard writes songs of my homeland While I pretend I do not care But the crown still weighs upon my mind Though I cast it far behind And the throne room's empty call Echoes through my very soul Reluctant road beneath my feet Reluctant road, bitter and sweet Leading home to face my shame Leading back to play the game I swore I'd never play Reluctant road, I walk alone Though three friends share this path I've known Every step takes me away From the peace I found in yesterday Memories rise like morning mist Of the choice that led me here A war I couldn't resist Preventing cost my people dear Not fear of death or battle's cry But fear of what they'd lose If honor's call and battle's lie Left mothers having to choose The sacrifice I thought was right Now haunts me in the fading light As home draws near with each day's end Will history just repeat again? Reluctant road beneath my feet Reluctant road, bitter and sweet Leading home to face my past Leading to the die I've cast so long ago Reluctant road, but I'm not alone Three friends now share this path I've known Every step takes me toward A reckoning I can't afford The cleric asks, "What troubles you?" I cannot find the words to say That everything I thought I knew About honor's crumbling away "I left to save them from themselves From the war they craved to fight Now I return to find the shelves Are bare of wisdom, full of spite" The bard speaks soft, "Perhaps you've grown Perhaps the boy who ran away Has learned what makes a king, a throne What leadership means today" But what if I'm the same inside? What if I haven't changed at all? What if these years I've tried to hide A heart too proud to heed honor's call? The northern winds grow sharp and cold Familiar scents upon the air Stories that my grandfather told Echo in the mountain's stare Soon I'll stand before my clan With strangers they might call my friends Will they see me as a man Or just where my father's bloodline ends? Reluctant road beneath my feet Reluctant road, bitter and sweet Leading home to face the truth Leading back to kill my youth, or set it free Reluctant road, but I must go Three friends beside me, this I know Every step takes me toward home But I don't have to face it alone Don't have to face it alone We're going home The mountains loom against the sky The past waits just beyond that ridge With every breath, I wonder why I chose to burn this bridge But turning back was never choice When blood and honor raise their voice Reluctant road... But we're not alone... ---
Track 6
Crossing the Borderlands
The last inn fades behind the hill Stone roads give way to paths of earth The wizard checks his maps until He finds we've left the land of hearth No more the ordered fields of grain Just rolling hills and open sky The cleric feels a different strain As tamed lands wave goodbye The air grows wild, the land grows free Ancient stones mark what used to be Boundaries drawn in blood and bone Welcome to the world I've known Crossing the borderlands where two worlds meet Crossing the borderlands, wild and free Where laws are written by wind and stone And honor's all you truly own Crossing the borderlands into my past Crossing the borderlands, the die is cast My companions see with wondering eyes The truth beneath my southern disguise The bard points out the standing stones Carved with runes of ancient days The wizard reads in hushed tones Stories of forgotten ways "These mark the old king's burial ground Where warriors came to test their might" I speak, my voice the only sound: "My ancestors sleep here tonight" Their eyes turn to me with surprise As understanding slowly rise That this isn't just foreign land But legacy I understand Crossing the borderlands where two worlds meet Crossing the borderlands, wild and free Where laws are written by wind and stone And honor's all you truly own Crossing the borderlands into my past Crossing the borderlands, the die is cast My companions see with wondering eyes Who I was beneath my disguise A hunting horn echoes through the valley Riders emerge from morning mist The cleric tenses, "Should we rally?" But I raise my hand and make a fist In greeting that they recognize Though years have passed since I was here Respect flickers in their eyes As childhood memories reappear "Young prince," the leader calls to me "Your exile's been a heavy cost We wondered if you'd ever be The royal bloodline that was lost" The wizard's mouth drops open wide The cleric stares in disbelief The bard can't hide her swelling pride That brings me such relief We ride together toward the keep My companions strangely quiet now The truth runs deeper than the deep They're seeing me but don't know how A barbarian prince could choose to leave The power and the ancient right But still they follow, still believe In bonds forged through the night Crossing the borderlands where two worlds meet Crossing the borderlands, wild and free Where laws are written by wind and stone And honor's all you truly own Crossing the borderlands, the past awaits Crossing the borderlands beyond those gates My companions ride beside the man Who carries more than they understand More than they understand But they understand enough The great hall rises from the plain Banners flying in the wind Home calls with joy and calls with pain To the prince returning from where he's been The borderlands behind us now The reckoning lies just ahead But I remember who and how A leader serves without the dread The horn calls out... We're almost home... ---
Track 7
Homeland
The gates swing wide, the horns sound clear A thousand voices rise in song The faces that I hold most dear Have waited for me far too long Children grown I do not know Point and whisper at my name But mothers' eyes still hold the glow Of love that never changed Every stone beneath my feet Every banner in the wind Whispers stories, bitter-sweet Of the boy I used to be within Homeland, calling me back to the start Homeland, you never left my heart Though I wandered far away Every dawn brought me closer to this day Homeland, where my story first began Homeland, now I return a different man But the mountains know my name And the rivers run the same In my homeland In my homeland The great hall stands as proud as when I left here with a heavy heart My father's throne waits once again For someone new to play his part The wizard marvels at the stones The cleric feels the ancient power The bard records in careful tones This monumental hour But something's different in the air A tension that was never here The peaceful home I tried to save Has burdens that I couldn't bear Homeland, calling me back to the start Homeland, you never left my heart Though I wandered far away Every dawn brought me closer to this day Homeland, where my story first began Homeland, now I return a different man But the mountains know my name And the rivers run the same In my homeland In my homeland Old warriors approach with tears "Prince, we've missed your guiding hand Your father's been gone these three years Who will lead our troubled land?" The weight of all I left behind Crashes down like avalanche My father dead, I was blind To think I'd get a second chance My friends stand close, they understand The burden crushing down on me To save this wild and ancient land From what it's grown to be I walk the halls where I once played See portraits of the kings before Remember every choice they made That led to peace or led to war My companions follow close Through corridors of memory While outside, celebration grows For the prince who might be free Homeland, calling me back to the start Homeland, you've always had my heart Though I wandered far away All roads led me back to this day Homeland, where my story must unfold Homeland, but I'm not the boy of old For the mountains know my name Though nothing feels the same This is homeland This is homeland This is homeland But in the shadow of the throne A figure waits with eyes of hate The elder who would claim my home And seal my people's fate The celebration turns to hush As he steps into the light My exile ends with one last push To set the future right The reckoning begins... Tonight... ---
Track 8
Crown I Cast Away
Five years past, these very halls Echoed with my father's rage "War is coming," he calls "Time to turn another page" The southern lords had crossed the line Stolen cattle, burned our grain "Son, the blood of kings runs through your spine It's time to make them pay for pain" But I had seen the orphaned children From the last war's bitter cost I had counted all the fallen And the innocence we'd lost The crown I cast away was heavy with expectation The crown I cast away demanded devastation They wanted me to lead them into glorious war But I couldn't be the king they'd been waiting for The crown I cast away, I laid upon the stone The crown I cast away, so I could walk alone Into exile rather than watch my people die For honor that was built upon a lie The elder stood beside the throne His voice like honey mixed with steel "Prince, this is your chance to own The legacy that kings should feel" But I had walked among their camps Seen the fear in mothers' eyes As they lit their evening lamps And sang their children lullabies How could I lead them into battle When I'd seen what battle takes? How many homes would shake and rattle For royal pride and old mistakes? The crown I cast away was heavy with expectation The crown I cast away demanded devastation They wanted me to lead them into glorious war But I couldn't be the king they'd been waiting for The crown I cast away, I laid upon the stone The crown I cast away, so I could walk alone Into exile rather than watch my people die For honor that was built upon a lie (Building intensity) "You're weak!" the elder shouted loud "A coward prince who will not fight!" But I stood firm before the crowd And spoke my truth into the night: "I've seen what war does to the land I've held the dying in these arms True strength is knowing when to stand And when to shield your people from harm" My father's face was stone-cold rage My mother wept but understood As I walked away from center stage And chose the harder good (Instrumental break - Celtic fiddle over driving drums) That night I packed my few belongings Left the palace through the gate My heart was filled with deep longings But I couldn't let them create Another generation lost To cycles of revenge and pain Whatever exile's final cost At least their blood wouldn't stain my hands The crown I cast away was heavy with expectation The crown I cast away to save a generation They wanted me to lead them into glorious war But I chose to be the prince who closed that door The crown I cast away, I laid upon the stone The crown I cast away, though it left me alone In exile, but with knowledge that my choice was right Even in the darkness, I had brought them light Even in the darkness, I had brought them light (Returning to intimate, spoken-sung style) Now I'm back where it all began With wisdom earned through years of pain But the elder's still the same man Who would see our people slain The crown waits on my father's throne But this time I know what it means To rule with heart and not alone To lead beyond what war has seen The choice remains... But I'm not the same... The choice remains... ---
Track 9
Hero's Welcome
War drums thunder through the night Bonfires blaze on every hill Warriors dance in firelight Convinced their prince has come to kill The southern dogs who dared to cross Our sacred lands and ancient ways "No more will we count the loss!" They shout through smoke and blazing haze They think they know why I've returned They think they know what I have learned But celebration turns to dread When I must speak what should be said Hero's welcome for the prince of war! Hero's welcome, this is what they've waited for! "Lead us into battle!" comes the cry "Time to make our enemies die!" Hero's welcome, but they don't understand Hero's welcome - peace, not war, brought me back to this land They're cheering for a ghost They're cheering for a ghost The elder stands upon the stage His voice cuts through the roaring crowd "Five years we've stored our rage Now let vengeance ring out loud!" He points to me with gleaming eyes "Your prince has come to claim his throne To lead us where true honor lies Through blood and battle, flesh and bone!" My companions watch in growing fear As bloodlust fills the atmosphere The celebration's turned to something dark A fire that will leave its mark Hero's welcome for the prince of war! Hero's welcome, this is what they've waited for! "Lead us into battle!" comes the cry "Time to make our enemies die!" Hero's welcome, but they don't understand Hero's welcome - peace, not war, brought me back to this land They're cheering for a ghost They're cheering for a ghost The wizard leans and whispers low "This isn't what you came back for" The cleric sees the fear I show As chants grow louder, "WAR! WAR! WAR!" The bard tries to find harmony In this chaos of misplaced hope But there's no song that I can see To help my struggling people cope Young warriors raise their swords high Mothers cheer for sons to fight While I stand silent, wondering why My exile didn't set things right The elder calls for me to speak To stoke the fires of their hate My voice feels small, my spirit weak Against the tide of twisted fate I step forward to the flame Look out at faces filled with war They're cheering for a bloody game That I won't play like those before Hero's welcome for the prince of war! Hero's welcome, this is what they've waited for! "Lead us into battle!" comes the cry "Time to make our enemies die!" Hero's welcome, but I must make them understand Hero's welcome ends here - peace is why I've returned to this land They're cheering for a ghost I'm not the ghost they want me to be They're cheering for a ghost But I'll show them who I've learned to be The fires burn, the war drums beat My moment's come, I can't retreat Tomorrow I must make my stand Against the madness in this land The elder's eyes meet mine across the flame We both know this is more than just a game The real battle starts at dawn The real battle starts at dawn... ---
Track 10
The Elder's Poison
Dawn breaks gray over silent halls The celebration's died away But in the shadows by the walls The elder waits to have his say His eyes like winter, cold and sharp His voice like honey mixed with steel He plays my people like a harp And makes them dance to what they feel "Welcome home, my prince," he sneers "Though home has changed these past five years Your soft heart cost us dearly, boy Now watch me deploy..." The elder's poison in their minds! The elder's poison, hatred that binds! He's fed them lies while I was gone Told them that peace makes us weak and wrong The elder's poison runs too deep The elder's poison while they sleep He whispered war into their dreams Now nothing's quite the way it seems "You see how eager they have grown To spill the blood you wouldn't spill? Five years I've tended what you've sown And bent their hearts unto my will" He speaks of raids across the border Glory earned through sword and flame "Your father left me to restore order You brought our people only shame" "They've learned that mercy is defeat That honor lives in others' screams Your exile made my work complete Now war fulfills their fondest dreams" The elder's poison in their minds! The elder's poison, hatred that binds! He's fed them lies while I was gone Told them that peace makes us weak and wrong The elder's poison runs too deep The elder's poison while they sleep He whispered war into their dreams Now nothing's quite the way it seems (Building to explosive confrontation) "You think you can just walk back in And change the hearts I've shaped with care? These people know what they have been Without a prince who doesn't dare To take what's rightfully our own To make the southlands pay the price You left them orphaned and alone Now they hunger for the sacrifice" My companions stand behind me As the truth becomes too clear The elder's work was to remind me That my exile fed their fear "You poisoned them against the peace! You made my sacrifice in vain! You turned my gift into a lease On suffering and pain!" "Poison?" laughs the elder cold "I gave them back their pride and strength You would have made them weak and old But I went to any length To keep alive the warrior's way To honor those who came before Your cowardice led us astray Now let me show you what's in store" The elder's poison in their minds! The elder's poison, hatred that binds! He's fed them lies while I was gone Made them believe that peace was wrong The elder's poison runs too deep The elder's poison, souls to keep But I won't let his darkness win The time has come to fight within To break the spell! To break the spell! (Spoken with menacing intensity) "Tomorrow we will settle this In front of all our people here Your way of peace, my way of bliss Through conquest and through fear By rights of challenge, blood, and bone One vision for our people's fate Your path or mine will stand alone Tomorrow we negotiate..." (Music drops to ominous whisper) The poison spreads... But truth still fights... Make your saving throw... Dawn brings the fight... ---
Track 11
Blood and Honor
The circle forms at break of day A thousand eyes upon the ring The elder stands in war array While I face what the moment brings My companions at the edge The wizard tense, the cleric prays The bard records this sacred pledge That will determine all our days Steel rings out in morning light Two visions of what makes us strong One built on endless fight One proving that the first is wrong Blood and honor, which one defines us? Blood and honor, which path will guide us? In this circle, truth will show Which way our people ought to go Blood and honor, the old way calls Blood and honor, but wisdom crawls From the ashes of the past To build a peace that's meant to last! "You speak of wisdom, boy," he snarls "But wisdom comes from warrior's scars Your southern friends have made you soft While I've been reaching for the stars" His blade flashes in the sun As he speaks of ancient ways "When this dance of death is done They'll remember these as the days!" But I've learned what strength can be It's not the loudest battle cry True power is to set men free From the need to kill or die Blood and honor, which one defines us? Blood and honor, which path will guide us? In this circle, truth will show Which way our people ought to go Blood and honor, the old way calls Blood and honor, but wisdom crawls From the ashes of the past To build a peace that's meant to last! (Building to climactic confrontation) "I challenge not just you but what you stand for! The poison that you've spread through every mind! The lie that war is what we're here and plan for! The blindness that has left our people blind!" The elder laughs and raises high his sword "Then let the ancestors judge between us two! Let blood decide whose vision is the lord And which of us speaks wisdom that is true!" We circle now, the moment's come at last My exile led me to this very fight To prove that we can break free from the past And choose a different kind of might! The clash of steel rings through the air As old meets new in deadly dance But I fight with the knowledge that I bear Of what true leadership demands Not to prove that I'm the strongest But to show there's another way That the path to peace is longest But it's worth the price we pay! Blood and honor, I know which defines us! Blood and honor, let wisdom guide us! In this circle, truth has shown The way our people ought to go Blood and honor, the old way falls! Blood and honor, but justice calls From the future we can build When hatred's voice is finally stilled! When hatred's voice is finally stilled! (Triumphant but sobering) The elder falls, his vision dies The circle breaks, the people see That strength is more than battle cries It's choosing who we're meant to be But victory brings its own cost The path ahead is still unclear Though this battle's won, not lost The hardest choice is drawing near The crown awaits... But at what price? The choice remains... Roll the dice... ---
Track 12
Truth in the Ashes
Silence falls across the ring Where moments past the steel sang loud The elder's voice no longer rings His lies no longer move the crowd My people stand in stunned surprise As morning sun breaks through the mist They're seeing truth through clearer eyes But still feel something has been missed The ashes of the old ways drift Like smoke upon the morning breeze Now hearts and minds begin to shift From war's disease to inner peace Truth in the ashes of what we used to be Truth in the ashes sets the future free No more the lies that bound us to the past Truth in the ashes, found at last We can be more than blood and steel Truth in the ashes helps us heal From the poison that we drank so long Truth in the ashes proves us wrong But shows us right An old woman steps from the crowd Her weathered face shows years of pain "My son died because we were proud Will peace bring back my boy again?" I kneel before her, take her hand "Nothing can undo what's done But I promise you across this land No mother'll lose another son" The tears fall like the gentle rain That washes clean the blood-soaked ground From sorrow grows a different grain Where wisdom's seeds can now be found Truth in the ashes of what we used to be Truth in the ashes sets the future free No more the lies that bound us to the past Truth in the ashes, found at last We can be more than blood and steel Truth in the ashes helps us heal From the poison that we drank so long Truth in the ashes proves us wrong But shows us right A young warrior sheathes his sword Says, "Prince, we've lost our way so long We followed pride and not the Lord Of wisdom that makes people strong" My companions step inside the ring The wizard speaks in voice so clear: "We've seen what peace and friendship bring Your prince learned wisdom living here" The cleric adds with gentle smile: "True strength protects instead of harms" The bard begins to weave the while A song of peace in place of arms The council meets as shadows grow To speak of what our future holds Some still want to strike the blow That honor's ancient fury told But many more now understand That strength comes not from causing fear But building bridges across the land And holding what we love most dear Truth in the ashes of what we used to be Truth in the ashes sets the future free No more the lies that bound us to the past Truth in the ashes, found at last We can be more than blood and steel Truth in the ashes helps us heal From the poison that we drank so long Truth in the ashes makes us strong Makes us strong Shows us light In the ashes of the night The dawn breaks clear, the choice is made To try a different, harder way The old wounds slowly start to fade As peace begins this very day But I know the path ahead is long And I cannot walk it from a throne My people must grow wise and strong But they must do it on their own The hardest choice... Still lies ahead... What do you do? When love demands you leave instead? ---
Track 13
Two Worlds, One Heart
The wizard sits beside the fire With elders sharing ancient lore Speaking of the times that inspire And wisdom worth much more than war The cleric walks among the wounded Healing those who bear old scars While gentle prayers are crooned Beneath the same bright stars Language may divide our speech But kindness needs no words to say That we all have something each Can learn along the way Two worlds, one heart beating strong Two worlds, one heart all along Though we come from different lands We can join our hearts and hands Two worlds, one heart, we understand Two worlds, one heart, take a stand For the bridges that we build When prejudice is finally stilled The bard learns songs of mountain streams And teaches tales from southern shores While children listen to the dreams That music opens up like doors Young warriors trade their fighting stance For stories of adventure's call My companions speak of second chance And how we rise each time we fall The walls we built inside our minds Come crumbling down like morning frost When we see what each one finds No culture's wisdom should be lost Two worlds, one heart beating strong Two worlds, one heart all along Though we come from different lands We can join our hearts and hands Two worlds, one heart, we understand Two worlds, one heart, take a stand For the bridges that we build When prejudice is finally stilled "Your prince," says one old warrior wise "Has learned what we forgot to see That strength comes not from battle cries But from who we choose to be" The wizard nods and speaks his truth: "We've traveled far and fought as one Your prince taught us in his youth That peace is never really won But earned each day through choice and deed Through listening to each other's pain Through planting hope like tiny seed That grows through sun and rain" The cleric shares a morning prayer In words that everyone can feel The bard weaves melodies that declare That love is what makes us real I watch these worlds come together Like streams that join to make a river My heart feels light as feather As unity starts to deliver Two worlds, one heart beating strong Two worlds, one heart all along Though we come from different lands We have joined our hearts and hands Two worlds, one heart, now we understand Two worlds, one heart, here we stand On the bridges that we've built Where no blood will ever be spilt Where understanding grows Where friendship always shows Two worlds, one heart One heart But as I watch this union grow A weight settles in my chest There's something that I've come to know That puts my heart to test My presence here will always be A reminder of the past For true peace to grow free I know what I must do at last The choice is clear... The time is near... What do you do? When love means leaving what you love most true? ---
Track 14
The Weight of Peace
I walk the halls of my childhood home See peace beginning to take root But in my heart I feel alone Knowing what I must execute The council meets and speaks my name They want to crown me as their king But I can see through power's game To what my presence here will bring The weight of peace is heavier than war The weight of peace asks so much more Than glory or the warrior's pride It asks for sacrifice inside The weight of peace sits on my shoulders The weight of peace as my heart smolders Knowing that to save what I love most I must become a willing ghost The weight of peace demands the cost The weight of peace, all must be lost For them to find their own true way I cannot, will not, choose to stay My mother's portrait on the wall Reminds me of the choice she made To let me go when duty's call Demanded more than love displayed My father's throne sits cold and bare While better hands could fill its place The crown was never mine to wear If wearing it destroys this grace The weight of peace is heavier than war The weight of peace asks so much more Than staying here to rule and reign It asks to bear the deeper pain The weight of peace sits on my shoulders The weight of peace as my heart smolders Knowing that to save what I love most I must become a willing ghost The weight of peace demands the cost The weight of peace, all must be lost For them to find their own true way I cannot, will not, choose to stay "Why?" my companions ask with tears "You've won their hearts, you've earned your place" But I've learned through all these years That love sometimes means empty space "If I remain upon the throne My very presence speaks of might But if I leave them on their own They'll learn to choose what's truly right" The wizard nods through his despair The cleric bows their weary head The bard can barely speak a prayer For words that should but can't be said I'll meet with southern lords instead To forge the treaties in my name Then disappear as if I'm dead So peace can grow without my fame The hardest battles aren't with swords But with the heart that wants to stay Sometimes love's truest words Are found in walking away The weight of peace sits on my shoulders The weight of peace as my heart smolders Knowing that to save what I love most I must become a willing ghost The weight of peace, I bear the cost The weight of peace, myself I've lost But they will find their own true way Because I chose not to stay Because I chose not to stay This is the weight of peace The crown will wait for worthier hands The throne for those who understand That ruling means you serve, not reign I'll bear this sweet and bitter pain Of loving them enough to go Of being the king they'll never know The weight of peace... The hardest choice you'll ever make... The weight of peace... ---
Track 15
Exile's Honor
Dawn breaks silver on the stones Where I once played as just a boy Now I walk these paths alone But my heart is filled with joy Not the joy of victory won But deeper peace of sacrifice For what my exile has begun Will grow beyond any price This time they understand my choice This time they hear my heart's true voice That says a king's greatest deed Is giving others what they need Exile's honor, walking away Exile's honor, the price I pay For love that's deeper than a crown For peace that's built on sacred ground Exile's honor, the hardest test Exile's honor, I give my best To those I'll never rule or lead But set forever free indeed The council gathered in the night To speak the words I knew they'd say "We understand now what is right Though our hearts beg you to stay" My mother's ring upon my hand I leave upon my father's throne For those who'll come to understand The seeds of wisdom I have sown This time no one calls me weak This time they know what I seek Is not to run from who I am But to complete a greater plan Exile's honor, walking away Exile's honor, the price I pay For love that's deeper than a crown For peace that's built on sacred ground Exile's honor, the hardest test Exile's honor, I give my best To those I'll never rule or lead But set forever free indeed The wizard speaks with tear-filled eyes "We've watched you grow beyond your years Your sacrifice we recognize As greater than our greatest fears" The cleric bows and softly says "True holiness is letting go" The bard will sing of all my days But this moment's what they'll know My people gather at the gate Not with anger, but with pride They finally understand my fate And stand with honor by my side Three horses wait beyond the wall My faithful friends will ride with me We'll answer adventure's distant call And keep each other's spirits free But I am not the same man now Who fled in shame so long ago I leave with love upon my brow And wisdom that will always grow Exile's honor, walking away Exile's honor, the price I pay For love that's deeper than a crown For peace that's built on sacred ground Exile's honor, the truest test Exile's honor, I've done my best For those I'll never rule or lead But set forever free indeed Forever free This is exile's honor This is love's true power Walking away The gates close soft behind our steps But not in anger, not in shame In love that never once forgets The power of a noble name Not written on a golden throne But carved in hearts that understand Sometimes to serve, you walk alone Sometimes you save by leaving the land Exile's honor... The greatest victory... Exile's honor... ---
Track 16
Road Ahead
Dusty boots on tavern floor The wizard buys another round The cleric laughs at stories more The bard makes her guitar sound Like morning birds and summer rain While I just smile and raise my glass We're different now but still the same Four friends whose bond will always last New adventures on the map New horizons calling out Pack your gear, no looking back That's what friendship's all about Road ahead, adventure calling Road ahead, let's see what's there Together strong, never falling Together strong beyond compare Road ahead, the dice are ready Road ahead, let's make our mark Keep your weapons sharp and steady Adventure waits beyond the dark The wizard's heard of dragon's gold The cleric knows of temples lost The bard's got tales that must be told No matter what they might cost And I? I'm ready for the fight Whatever dangers we might face With friends like these, it feels right No throne could match this sacred space Different paths but same dream Different skills but common goal We're the perfect adventuring team Four hearts, one restless soul Road ahead, adventure calling Road ahead, let's see what's there Together strong, never falling Together strong beyond compare Road ahead, the dice are ready Road ahead, let's make our mark Keep your weapons sharp and steady Adventure waits beyond the dark Tavern keeper asks our trade "Adventurers," we proudly say "Got a quest? We're not afraid We'll be on our way come day" Maps spread out across the table Coins and rumors, tales and lore Every legend, every fable Could be what we're looking for Road ahead, adventure calling Road ahead, let's see what's there Together strong, never falling Together strong beyond compare Road ahead, our story's growing Road ahead, we've just begun Keep the campfires burning, glowing Together strong until we're done Together strong Here we come The sun comes up, we hit the trail New adventure, brand new tale Road ahead... Road ahead... What do you do? The quest continues with this crew! --- **Album Complete: "EXILE'S HONOR (REVISED)"** *16 tracks of adventure, sacrifice, and the true meaning of heroism* *Alternative punk-folk concept album with D&D themes* *"Sometimes to serve, you walk alone."*
